Fall Fun

So we have had another doctors visit with our sweet boy - he is now 31 inches tall and almost 21 lbs - he is doing well and only hates us a little when we have him vaccinated. He flirted with the nurse this time- until she held him down and stuck needles in his legs, then he didn't like her anymore.
He has been keeping us busy this month- he has started dragging us where he wants us to be and usually that is running around like a maniac or dancing...
We went to Lagoon today we traded off taking Gregor on kid rides, he mostly enjoyed it. He did have an accident while trying to walk with shoes on- face plant right on the asphault- poor thing. We had him try cotton candy- he wouldn't eat it at first and still was a little meh about it when he did have some- I think my boy might be some sort of mutant.

Still we had a good time and the four hour nap he had after was great for everyone.

and so is September

Time is going by so quickly I can barely keep up, we are already a chunk into October and I still don't have a costume idea for me or for Gregor. I have seen last years costume in Parents magazine though, worn by a younger and cuter model :)
but before I get to October a few things happened in September.

Gregor after his first haircut:

He soon got over it & was our happy boy again:

Jason and I took a break to visit with Julie and Bud- its actually a miracle- I hardly ever get to see them when they are in town. A good time was had by all :)

Gregor suffered no harm from having a babysitter- in fact I'm not sure he cared we were gone:

Now heading to October- Peri and Tom were married. Nice quick ceremony- they all should be so short.

Gregor loved that the leaves were on the ground and had a great time playing with them:

We then went to Vegas, this is how excited Gregor was to be there:

He soon made his parents as excited as he was:

But the real happiness was coming home:

Hopefully we will have something interesting to add soon.

August is gone...

Wow... This year is just flying by! August is gone and Christmas will be here in an instant.

I made a second trip to the Philippines right at the first of August. This time I actually had a chance to do some sightseeing. So here are a few photo's of Coregidor Island. This Island is in the mouth of Manila Bay, and was the sight of several battles during WWII.

Here is a McArthur Memorial near the pier where he escaped from at the start of the war.

Here are some Bombed out American Barracks still on the Island. The have an overnight tour of the island where you can explore the barracks and a bombed out hospital at night. Kinda creepy.

There are still some big guns left on the Island. This one could hit ships all the way out into the South China Sea. The man in the middle of the picture is Don Don. He was my driver during my visit this time.

Looking out over the bay you can see Bataan. This is the place where the first "Death March" started.

This is Gregor the day that I came home. He was a little bit clingy for a few days, but he forgave me a lot faster than from my first trip.

And here is Gregor not liking the river at Storm Mountain. We all went up there to celebrate Miranda's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

We don't post because we are lazy

Anyway Jason was supposed to post about the wonderful visits we had with Janet and Scott last month but he didn't. I will say we had a good time and it is always nice to spend time with our family.

Jason has been gone again and I've been totally lazy about posting updates on our cutie, but there hasn't been much to update. He is in everything. I can't keep a drawer or cupboard filled with the things that belong in them. He is running everywhere, & having some really impressive falls while doing so. He needs a haircut since he looks more and more like Luke Skywalker c. 1977. We'll get to it. But thats about it- pretty boring these days. The only thing new is we've had our first impressively bleeding injury- after hitting his face on a kitchen chair he cut his lip with his teeth. Poor thing - I gave him a popscicle to feel better though & that seemed to work great.

A late birthday post

Well our little boy is now one and I can't believe how quickly this year went by and how big he has gotten. I was happy that this one turned out so well since I missed the last party we had planned for him. He was quite spoiled with gifts and loved all the attention, so thank you to everyone for making his birthday nice. The birthday was of course not without incident and Lise I'm sorry about your eye & I'm glad its going to be okay.
We have also had his one year doctor appointment complete with vaccinations- poor kid. He is 30 inches tall and 18 lbs 12 oz (the doctor says they lose weight after they start walking so he is the size he should be but I'm thinking I need to give him more fatty foods and chunk him up).

His first gift was a balloon- a present he has enjoyed all week:

Yep its a kid party so all the adults are exhausted:

Holiday and Bad Habit

So Jason is home and we are both glad to have him back, Gregor clung to him for the rest of the day.

We had a good first fourth of July with Gregor, the parade was much too early in the morning. I would also note we live the furthest away and still got there first.

Both my boys glaring at me for taking their picture:

The burger kings lover was again in the parade:
The best was the amazon warriors displaying the heads of the fallen:

It was pretty boring this year- Gregor was pleased to see it end:
Later that night we had a little bit of fireworks- Gregor slept through most of them

and only woke to see the last few- his face shows his opinion of the screechers:

So our holiday wasn't bad but it was long- for everyone.

In other news Gregor has recently shown some bad habits that have been learned from his parents, on Monday when he woke up, he looked up, looked over at the clock, groaned & then buried his face back in the pillow. Actually now that I think about it that may not be a bad habit to have :)
