What is new

I would first like to again express my condolences to both my mom and step-mom for the loss of their respective brothers this last week, it is always hard to lose family and I am sorry they both lost well-loved members of theirs.

Not much has been going on with the adults of our little household this month but Gregor is getting bigger by the second and learning so many things.
He has learned to manipulate his hands more and is starting to wave hello and good-bye- often a showstopper at my workplace as many of my co-workers stop to enjoy this new found talent. He has also started doing his version of kisses by pressing his open mouth against my face and slobbering on it. It sometimes has turned painful as in trying to find how many licks it takes to get to the delicious center of a moms chin bone he takes a few licks and then bites- hard. I even now carry the wounds of his little shark teeth on my chin. He is eating more and more solid foods and really wants to help feed himself- often grabbing the spoon and shoving it down his throat. We last night gave in to his want of mommy and daddy food and let him try a treat- we let him have a bite of a popsicle- this picture is the initial reaction. He did like it after a minute. We bought a walker -mainly so he wouldn't crawl around so much at work, he loves cords and can now get to them in a second. He rather enjoys scooting himself around in it & being able to reach things he can't when he is on the ground. If it isn't one thing...Gregor also received his first haircut this week, we cut off the little bit of extra-long hair he had in the back. It was difficult since he badly wanted to see what mommy was doing, but it went okay.

I have a harder and harder time taking candid photos of him- he has started to pose for the camera. It does have a benefit, however, when he is crying if I bring out the camera and take a picture that is usually enough to make him happy again.

Of course happy seems to be his natural state :)

I am very sorry to hear about the deaths in your family.

It will be good to see everyone tomorrow night. I'm feeling disconnected from everyone. Gregor's freakin' adorable.
